Buhari has failed, says PFN president

- From Jeremiah Oke, Ibadan

The president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, yesterday said President Muhammadu Buhari had failed woefully in view of the deteriorating security situation across the country.

The cleric, who spoke in Ibadan, lamented the rising spate of killings and general insecurity challenges bedeviling the country.

“Some wicked people kidnapped some students and demanded N800 million for their release; they killed them. The government could not lift a finger and you are telling me that the president has not failed? Buhari has failed! For the first time, I have found myself praying that God should remove him,” he said.

The cleric added that making Nigeria great should be the concern of all Nigerians, and as such, he was not afraid of expressing his views, stressing, “No bullet of the enemy can kill me; I can’t die in the hands of a man.’’

Bishop Oke accused the government of treating criminal elements holding the country to ransom with kid gloves.
