As the Ramadan Fasting period heads to its final stages, the prestigious Unity Polo fiesta and the Charity Shield international tournament top the list of box office events lineup for the month of May and early June.

Inaugurated about twenty years ago to commemorate the return of Democracy, the Unity polo fiesta stands alone as the biggest galloping event in the Federal Capital city that attracts teams, lovers of the noble game and tourists in the droves to the centre of unity annually.

Guards polo top shot who confirmed the build-up to Polo Royals, stated that when the fiesta gallops-off, participating teams would vie for top prizes in the high, medium and the Low-goal categories.

“Yes we have been receiving enquiries since last month about the 2021 edition of our prime event, and we are working on it. Our pitch is in top shape and the location of the Guards Polo Club remains a tourist delight,” the official confirmed.

Polo Royals can authoritatively report that national polo tour will remain in the north central region with the cosmopolitan city of Kaduna rolling the red carpet for this year’s UNICEF Charity Shield Tournament.

The Charity Shield which is usually decided over two weekends at the serene Fifth Chukker Lawns is expected to feature over 20 fully loaded teams, parading the best Nigerian players and their foreign counterparts from Europe, USA, Argentina and South Africa, among others.
