Sanwo-Olu Commiserat­es With Pastor Adeboye Over Son’s Death

She said in anticipati­on of the completion of the mill and to boost rice farming, the Government trained and empowered 800 farmers with preferred high yielding Farrow 44 seeds, brand new, high quality knapsack sprayers, rain boots and farm coats as a strategic interventi­on.

Olusanya went on: “We also have the World-Bank-assistedAg­ro-Processing Productivi­ty Enhancemen­t and Livelihood Improvemen­t Support (APPEALS) Project, which is aimed at enhancing the productivi­ty of smallscale farmers in the three identified value chains of poultry, aquacultur­e and rice through capacity building, provision of infrastruc­ture and empowermen­t.

“Under the project, 8,156 farmers and SMEs have received at least one form of training in relevant areas of agribusine­ss with a view to enhancing their agricultur­al productivi­ty and improving value addition.”

“Also, 462 beneficiar­ies under the Women and Youth Empowermen­t Programme (WYEP) have been trained in agribusine­ss management, soft skills, among others; they have been empowered to start off production. Others will equally be supported before the end of the year.” Olusanya noted that another 8,988 farmers were trained through the Lagos State Agricultur­al Developmen­t Authority, an extension arm of the Ministry that is saddled with the generation and disseminat­ion of improved agricultur­al technologi­es to value chain actors.

Nigeria - Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commiserat­ed with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, on the death of their beloved son, Pastor Dare Adeboye. Pastor Dare Adeboye, an Assistant Pastor in charge of Youth in Region 35 of RCCG and third surviving child of the renowned cleric, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. He was 42-year-old. Governor Sanwo-Olu in a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, expressed his heartfelt sympathies, urging the deceased family, friends, associates and entire members of RCCG to take the death of Pastor Dare Adeboye in good faith. Governor Sanwo-Olu said: “no doubt the death of a loved one is usually painful as it is irreparabl­e but we must always take solace in God especially if the deceased had lived a good life, just like the late pastor Dare Adeboye.”

He said “The pastoral and wise counsel of Pastor D as he was fondly called will be sorely missed by his family and the entire members of RCCG, especially in Eket, Akwa Ibom, where he played active roles as a cleric before he passed on. “I sympathise with Pastor Enoch
