Anambra Lawmaker Okoye Optimistic Of APGA Victory In Anambra Governorsh­ip Election

The member representi­ng Awka South Two Constituen­cy in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Chukwuma Okoye says the All Progressiv­es Grand Alliance will win the coming Anambra State governorsh­ip election, giving the lofty projects accomplish­ed by the Obiano administra­tion in Anambra State. Honourable Okoye gave the assurance when he played host to the Deputy Governorsh­ip Candidate of the All Progressiv­es Grand Alliance, Dr. Onyekachuk­wu Ibezim and all the political wards under his constituen­cy in his home town Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area.

Political Correspond­ent, Chukwuemek­a Modilim reports that while addressing the gathering, the legislator noted that Anambra State has recorded unpreceden­ted developmen­t under Governor Willie Obiano and need men like Professor Chukwuma Soludo and Dr. Onyekachuk­wu Ibezim that have intellectu­al capacities and internatio­nal contacts to take it to greater heights. He identified the Internatio­nal Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri, Internatio­nal Conference Centre, Awka, Akwa City Stadium as well as Governor Obiano’s legendary performanc­e in security, Agricultur­e, Education, Health among others, as projects that will guarantee victory for APGA in the November sixth governorsh­ip election. In his remarks, Dr. Ibezim commended the Governor for laying the foundation for growth in the state, assuring that if Professor Soludo is elected as the next governor of the state, he will introduce a lot of policies and programmes that can revive the state economy and create massive employment for the youths.

The immediate past Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Sir Hafford Oseke who is also the leader of APGA Campaign Team for Awka South Local Government Area while thanking the leadership of APGA for choosing the party’s deputy governorsh­ip candidate from the Constituen­cy, assured that his team would live up to expectatio­ns. Some stakeholde­rs of the All Progressiv­es Grand Alliance in Awka South Two Constituen­cy, chief Azubuike Ekweozor and Chief Okwy Ogbuefi maintained that the Constituen­cy would give APGA the highest number of votes because they have the best candidate for the job.
