The former Lawmaker who noted that the decamping of some lawmakers in the State is not new, as that is synonyms with every election year where some people pursue their political interests and revealed that many people from other political parties have also decamped to APGA, having seen that the party is the only political party that has the Igbo interest. Honourable Okoye maintained that there is no way APGA would not win the election, owing to the sterling performance of Governor Willie Obiano, which has endeared him to Ndi Anambra, even as he tagged what is going on in the party, as sanitization process where only the authentic APGA members would go into the election as one strong and united family and win convincingly. The APGA stakeholder equally maintained that APGA is blessed with the best candidate in the person of Professor Charles Soludo, a seasoned icon in developmental economics and administrator whose records as the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is a testament to his leadership and managerial prowess. He eulogised the member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe for his resilience and belief in a strong united APGA as well as various support groups within the party that have been supporting the Soludo’s project.
