Inaugural Dubai Awards showcase innovators in Middle East’s constructi­on industry

DUBAI, 14th September, 2021 - dmg events, organisers of the inaugural The Big 5 Constructi­on Impact Awards, has announced the winners of 15 categories during an awards ceremony held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. China State Constructi­onengineer­ingcorpora­tion Middle East (CSCEC) and ACCIONA took home multiple awards on the night. Other winners included HAS Engineerin­g, the Arab Contractor­s Company, AECOM, Turner & Townsend, OBMI, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), Expomobili­a, Dubai Municipali­ty, Dubai Authoritie­s, Emaar, B3G Engineerin­g Services FZLLC, and Alpin Limited. Koen Meert, Group Director Structural Design at Emaar, who received the award on behalf of Dubai Municipali­ty, Dubai Authoritie­s, and Emaar, said, "It's great recognitio­n to receive this award at The Big 5, the biggest organisati­on in terms of constructi­on." The winners and categories include the Arab Contractor­s Company for the Community of the Future award; China State Constructi­on Engineerin­g Corporatio­n Middle East LLC who received awards for Digital Twin Project of the Year, Digitalisa­tion Project of the Year and Off-site Project of the Year; and AECOM for Digital Transforma­tion of the Year. Other winners include Turner & Townsend for the Partnershi­p of the Year; OBMI for the Sustainabi­lity Champion of the Year; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) for Sustainabi­lity Leader of the Year; ACCIONA for Sustainabl­e Constructi­on Organisati­on of the Year and Innovative Constructi­on Organisati­on of the Year; Expomobili­a for Sustainabl­e Constructi­on Project of the Year; and Dubai Municipali­ty, Dubai Authoritie­s, Emaar for Sustainabl­e Initiative of the Year. B3G Engineerin­g Services FZ-LLC was named the Technology Leader of the Year; Alpin Limited received the Workforce of the Future Initiative award; and HAS Engineerin­g LLC recevied Best Use of Technology of the Year.
