Celebrity Lawyer, Kayode Ajulo, Gets Ondo Man-of-the-year Award
BORN to a humble family with the head as a renowned bookseller and the mother a seamstress, little Kayode Ajulo sure had many books to read.
But beyond that, he was inspired by many notable intellectuals that came to patronise his father’s store and eventually settled for Law at the University of Jos. While the youthful Ondo State-born, handsome and light skinned Ajulo worked to earn a living through legal practice, his passion for equity pushed him to the world of activism, where he started fighting for worthy courses, just as he got involved in partisan politics.
Evidently, the influential dude has become notable in all he got himself engaged in. As a legal practitioner, he sits atop a flourishing law firm with international contacts through which he has handled some notable briefs for individuals, private and public agencies, while also taking his activism to an enviable height through his wide reaching non-governmental organisation, Egalitarian Mission Africa.
It is also on record that Kayode is a top political player, but he resigned as national secretary of Labour Party (LP) a year ago.
Nevertheless, Kayode has been at the receiving end of talks of hobnobbing with another political party with the aim of contesting again for the senate to represent Ondo North.
But Kayode insisted clearly that he resigned to face his profession and campaign for social justice and equity in society.
On this heel, it was seen as a well-deserved and timely honour when Kayode becomes a prophet with honour at home, with his decorated as Ondo State Advocate of the Year at a ceremony in Akure recently.
At the award, tagged, ‘Ondo State Man of The
Year Award, it was indeed a glorious day for Kayode, represented by Prof Christopher Aboluwoye of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-akoko, with the Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in attendance. Akeredolu commended Kayode on his unrelenting advocacy and dedication to the people’s courses. Others decorated at the occasion include Tunji Abayomi, Victor Olabimtan and Kolawole Babatunde.
