HEAD Teacher, Lagos Creative Palms School, Festac, Lagos, Mrs. Iwuchukwu Nneka, has stressed the need for pupils to be exposed to rudiments of learning early in life.
Iwuchukwu who stated this at the 2017 graduation ceremony of the school said such exposure is necessary as it empowers pupils to have smooth academic journey rooted in robust educational programmes.
The event she said was organised to celebrate pupils who have done exceptionally well, and also encourage others to understand that there is a prize for hard work and commitment.
She advised the outgoing pupils to uphold the moral values and the solid educational foundation instilled in them, saying this will ultimately guide them, in their higher academic pursuit.
She said: “Education is a systematic acquisition of knowledge through organised agencies and a controlled environment, and so pupils must be exposed to essentials of learning early in life. Foundational learning is key, as it removes barriers to learning for learners. It was in realisation of this that we as a team developed teaching and learning methodology that will give our pupils the best education can offer. Good education does not only broaden opportunities in life, it helps one to attain social competence and optimum personal development.”
To the graduating pupils, who have worked very hard to earn new skills and achieve this goal, may the learning experiences acquired so far, prepare you all for more complex tasks as you stride toward higher education levels and beyond.”
Also, Mrs. Lilian Amaka Amaechi, assured that the school has planted a good seed and a solid foundation in the children, saying, “it is the wish of every parent to know that their children are drilled in a strong moral and academic ground to enable them achieve better goals in life.”
