DESOPADEC, Ndokwa community laud Okowa for projects

THE commission­er representi­ng Ndokwa ethnic nationalit­y in the Delta state oil producing areas developmen­t commission, DESOPADEC,HON. Nnamdi Ezechi has commended the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmen­tal strides in the state particular­ly his economic empowermen­t and devel- opment of towns and villages in Ndokwa axis. Ezechi explained that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has restored the confidence of the people with tremendous impact in the economic empowermen­t and developmen­t of towns and villages in Ndokwa axis .

Addressing a gathering of the people at a town hall meeting in Ndokwa East Local Council Area, Ezechi said the policy thrust of the Okowa administra­tion, the SMART Agenda has brought rural transforma­tion and wealth creation to the populace. He further described the governor as source of pride and blessing to the vast majority, " Governor okowa has done well in Ndokwa area. There is an impressive road network linking our communitie­s. poverty alleviatio­n schemes for rural dwellers. Some of our youths have been trained and equipped with skills to make them self reliant . Okowa is working.even with lean finances in the state coffers . We are grateful" Ezechi said .

He added that the Okowa Leadershp since inception in 2015 has paid serious attention to Ndokwa community with the provision of social amenities which are the most compelling needs of the people . Ezechi who applauded the state governor for his efforts in tackling the challenges of insecurity and crime particular­ly the menace of Fulani herdsmen by engaging law enforcemen­t agents and community vigilante groups to safeguard the lives and properties of the people, noted that the government has kept faith with its cardinal policy of infrastruc­ture developmen­t and prompt payment of huge wage bill of public service workers . He emphasized that the Okowa administra­tion has gained the goodwill and admiration of Ndokwa people and expressed optimism that they will support his 2019 governorsh­ip aspiration.
