Nigerian attempts to break Guinness World Records with read aloud marathon

ANIGERIAN, Olubayode Treasures Olawunmi, during his Read Aloud Marathon attempt of 120 hours to Break Guinness World Records is on his fourth day without stopping reading aloud with only two hours break a day. The event is sponsored by GT Bank and Lagos State goverment in commemorat­ion of World Book Day held at GT You Read Library Centre Yaba Lagos. The current record holder, Deepak Sharma Bajaan attained the feat in 2008 after he read a total of 17 books in 113 hours and 15 minutes. Olawunmi is taking a shot at breaking the world record by reading over 15 Nigerian published books in 120 hours over a period of six days.

The 40-year-old Olawunmi started the challenge on Monday at exactly 1:30p.m. So far, he has read nine books and has done over 72 hours of reading.
