Firm gives free medical care to Edo community

AN oil-servicing firm in Edo State, Network Oil and Gas Company, has given free medical care to over 1,000 residents of Ologbo community and its environs. The company’s Head of Human Resources and Administra­tion, Fuso Akinloju-ojo, facilitate­d the gesture yesterday in Ikpoba Okha Local Council.

He pledged the firm’s commitment to fulfilling its corporate social responsibi­lities to the host communitie­s, adding that the seven-day free medicare includes awareness, screening, eye test, HIV, dental education and consultanc­y. Beneficiar­ies were given drugs and medical glasses.

Addressing newsmen, Akinloju-ojo said the company decided to carry out the exercise to confront the health challenges facing the people of the area.

Secretary of the community, Friday Osazuwa, expressed appreciati­on to the firm and pledged to provide enabling environmen­t for it to carry out its duties.
