Uk-based Nigerian Act, Dayo, Set To Rule Music World

-

GROWING up in a modest family at Mile 2 area of Lagos, where he had to hawk goods for his mother to make ends meet, it is obvious that life was not a rollercoaster for him, but as young man who knew what he wanted out of life, rather than join bad gangs, Dapo Aiyegbusi, better known as Dayo, would channel his energy into meaningful things.

This inspired him to focus on improving on his music talent, during which he also learnt how to play instruments.

Many years after learning the ropes at Amuwo Odofin Baptist Church, Iye-ekiti, Ekiti State-born Dapo, aside been empowered educationally, is also able to get established, musically, in England, where he resides, so much that his popularity as a singer goes beyond the black community.

Having been able to raise his game in the UK to a level where he performs alongside the likes of Nelly and Akon, to mention a few, the singer cum model has not forgotten his roots, as he is set let his people and fans in Nigeria experience what he has evolved to be in the music world.

Dayo, in a few months, would be releasing his debut album of over five tracks, include Gbe e Lole, You Carry, African Woman and Lonely, among others. He worked with top foreign music producers, such as Oge-beat and Big Marcus in the yet to be titled album expected to have collaborations with top music acts.

Dayo is happy that his dream of becoming a great musician is gradually coming to reality and is sure his up-coming album would not only announce him, but also positively impact on Nigeria’s music industry. Meanwhile, some of his tracks are presently enjoying airplay to the admiration of music lovers.
