- By Gbenga Akinfenwa

THE Founder/executive Director of Live Abundantly Empowerment Initiative, Dr. Ama Onyerinma, has advised children to expand their knowledge through academic and social education.

He spoke at a special Children’s Day event it organised at Ijebu-ife in Ogun State.

Onyerinmi said it was important to instill innovation and dynamism in children, as well as their beliefs in individual abilities and destinies.

He also enjoined them to learn beyond the classroom by integrating the information provided by teachers with what is going on in the society.

He said learning does not occur in a vacuum, and enjoined them to apply school studies to daily living.

In her speech titled: “The Stew of Life.” Onyerinma figuratively used tomatoes as education, pepper as family, friends, community, and oil as a synergy for all.

The founder cautioned that moments of challenges could alter the course of children’s lives for better or worse, based on the decisions that they make.

“Look at challenges as a learning experience and know that they add flavour to life. The oil serves as the base that makes it possible for the synergy of the learning experience.

“It includes the support of your family, friends and community, along with your well-being and the life challenges that you experience,” she said.

She urged them to remember to balance all ingredients, adding that their viability is based on their education and social consciousness.
