THE Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 44, has empowered no fewer than 120 job seekers with requisite skills and vocational capabilities.

Its latest programme, which spanned between April and May 2018, brings the number of graduates from the Province’s Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme to over 320 in the last two years.

The beneficiaries were trained in agro-allied businesses, events and decorations, beads and hat making, website design, graphics design, shoe making, catering services, generator repairs, soap and deodorant making, beautification and fashion design.

Pastor in charge of Province, Amos Emovon, charged the beneficiaries to effectively utilize the knowledge acquired during the programme, saying: “You have been given the raw materials for success, all you need to do now is to process the raw materials as inputs to achieve your desired outputs.’’

He encouraged them to aim for the top, citing the example of one of last year’s trainees, who processed his raw materials and is now part of the training faculty for the 2018 session.

Personalities at the event included the Principal, Lagos Island Local Government Vocational/skill Acquisition Institute, Mrs. Omowunmi Oyebola, Assistant Pastorin-charge of Lagos Province (CSR), Ajibola OpeoluwaCalebs and coordinator of Lagos State Vocational Training School, Surulere Branch, Mrs. Bolanle Arikawe-otu.

They enjoined the beneficiaries to be diligent and persistent as these were key ingredients for success.
