Buhari Loves Igbo, Says Orji Kalu

- From Gordi Udeajah, Umuahia

FORMER Abia state governor and APC chieftain, Orji Uzor Kalu has asserted that president Buhari loves Igbos and the South East passionately. He therefore counseled Igbos to change their negative perception of the president, which he said, feeds the impression that the president hates Igbos and south easterners.

Kalu, who said this while addressing APC members at his Igbere country home in Bende LGA, said that President Buhari loves Ndigbo and is doing what former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, the late Musa Yar’adua and Goodluck Jonathan could not do for the Igbo region when they ruled the country.

Kalu pointed that President Buhari is doing a lot of work that PDP didn’t do during the 16 years it ruled this country including the second Niger Bridge that is being constructed by the president federal government.

According to Kalu, “past presidents promised to build this second Niger Bridge but they didn’t do it. Ex presidents Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan promised to do it and failed. I predict that come 2019 election, Abia State electorate will give President Buhari 75 percent of their votes”

Kalu while decrying hate speeches and negative remarks on social media said that these make Nigeria look like a bad nation. On the coming 2019 election in Abia state, Kalu tasked Abians to unite and commit to effecting a change of the PDP led government and thereafter return to the country’s mainstream politics.
