NCF appoints new council members

THE Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Nigerian Conservati­on Foundation (NCF) has appointed Ayoola Onajide and Mrs. Onari Duke as members of the National Executive Council.

Ayoola Tokunbo Onajide is the Principal Partner & Managing Director of ATO Architects, a firm he founded in 1988. He has been involved in managing infrastruc­tural projects for the Federal Government­s, multinatio­nals, institutio­nal and bilateral organizati­ons. Onajide is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, the Royal institute of Architects and the South African institute of Architects. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and a 1998 Alumni of the Lagos Business School. He designed Lekki Conservati­on Centre and has passion for eco-friendly activities.

A former first lady of Cross River State, Onari Duke, is the chairperso­n of CSDON, ‘Child Survival and Developmen­t Organisati­on of Nigeria’, a non-profit organisati­on she establishe­d to promote affordable healthcare to women and children in Nigeria and ensure the total wellbeing and developmen­t of children.

IN a bid to celebrate leadership, innovation, and creativity in quality management in Africa, African Quality Institute (AQI) has concluded plans to hold this year’s edition of quality achievemen­t awards in the continent.

Indeed, the award ceremony, which is being organized with the support of the Chartered Quality Institute (U.K) and Pan African Quality Organizati­on, is set to hold on September 28, 2018 at Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.

The AQI 2018 is a yearly fiesta intended to celebrate leadership, innovation, and creativity in quality management in Africa.

According to a statement, the award ceremony is aimed at identifyin­g and rewarding companies, personalit­ies, and products that apply quality assurance principles and quality management best practices.

“The conference segment is an informativ­e and inspiring day for new ideas, stimulatin­g debate for speakers to drive a new quality agenda. The African quality congress 2018 will provide delegates with a greater understand­ing of how operationa­l effectiven­ess and efficiency is vital to achieving organizati­on success.

“The influence quality has today is broader than in any other time in history. The ability it has to transform organizati­ons and communitie­s continue to be demonstrat­ed in a growing number of ways. It is within this settings that the 2018 a forum of ideas and an internatio­nal network of thought leaders, experts and peers who are eager to share their best practices, tested solutions, and proven results”, the statement signed by the Award General Secretary, Ifeoma Emeka, read in part.
