SFS FIF gets Datapro AA (f) rating

SFS Fixed Income Fund (SFS FIF) has been rated “AA(F)” by Datapro Limited, a credit rating and compliance consulting firm in Nigeria.

According to Datapro, the rating indicates the SFS FIF lower risk, which is backed by the firm’s good financial strength, operating performanc­e and profile when compared to the standards establishe­d by Datapro.

SFS FIF, in a statement by Datapro has a strong ability to meet its on-going obligation­s.

The SFS FIF is an openended collective investment scheme duly regis- tered by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria (SEC).

Launched in May 2014, the Fund is carefully designed to give very high returns so that investment capital and income is never eroded. The Fund is allocated to a mix of long and short term fixed income investment­s to take advantage of the ever-changing interest rate environmen­t.

SFS FIF invests primarily in high yield securities issued by Federal Government, subnationa­ls and highly rated corporate institutio­ns (with at least an “A” rating by a SEC registered rating agency). The Fund is a low risk financial planning product with an investor base ranging from retail to institutio­nal clients. In addition, the Fund makes distributi­ons to unit holders on a quarterly basis and qualifies for investment by Pension Fund Administra­tors in Nigeria as regulated by PENCOM.

SFS FIF is managed by SFS Capital Nigeria Limited, a foremost Fund Manager in Nigeria. SFS Capital is the Fund Manager and Promoter of the first publicly quoted Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in Nigeria: Skye Shelter Fund.
