ICSAN partners NECA to train entrepreneurs on corporate governance
PLANS are underway by the Lagos State Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), to collaborate with the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), on the need to sensitise entrepreneurs to promote good corporate governance for business growth. The training, seminars, and workshops, ICSAN said, are to ensure long-term survival for the entrepreneurs’ businesses. The Chairman, ICSAN, Lagos State Chapter, Francis Olawale, said this during a courtesy visit by his team to the office of the DirectorGeneral of NECA, Timothy Olawale recently. he said ICSAN, being the hub of promoting good corporate governance, wants to collaborate with organisations to empower them for survival and for economic prosperity.
He said: “We want to sensitise business owners and encourage entrepreneurs to not just establish companies for fun but to have a lot of responsibilities for sustainability. We want to collaborate with these organisations to empower them for survival, to promote its prosperity, and we are going to do this through training, workshops, and empowerment initiatives which we would unveil as we move on.”
In his remark, Olawale, who welcomed the development, said the ideas from both parties would be the guiding principles, by way of collaboration with delivery of value and benefits to members.
