Dead Cats Don’t Meow set for April release

UK-based Nigerian author and poet, Tolu A. Akinyemi, has concluded work on yet another masterpiece. The new book, Dead Cats Don’t Meow ,

which is the writer’s fourth, but the third in his poetr y collection, will be released in Nigeria and all over the world in April; and is set to be in high demand.

Described as ‘a writer with exceptional talent’ by the Arts Council England, Akinyemi’s other books include, Dead Lions Don’t Roar, Unravel

According to the author, the book release will be accompanied by a tour , comprising four events in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The tour kicks off on April 4, at The Poetr y Café, Covent Garden, London, where Akinyemi will be performing his new poetry collection.

On April 13, the tour moves to MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, and on May 2, the book reading train will berth at The Lit & Phil in Newcastle, while finally anchoring at The Avenue Librar y, Manchester on May 9.

Dead Cats Don’t Meow is a metrical masterpiece, which invokes love and respect for life with every word. Each poem examines a part of life, a sensation, a reaction or an emotion. Beautifully written, the verses individu- ally breathe their own beat, whilst the collection knits together perfectly to present an idyllic anthology.
