INDIGENES of Abia State living in North America have tasked elected members of the state and federal legislatures to justify their election by striving to represent their constituencies well and ensure accountability for all they will receive on behalf of the people.

Speaking under the aegis of Abia State National Association, North America (ASNA-NA), the group commended the contestants for their active participation and urged the winners to work in concert with the losers and the entire citizenry.

In a release signed by ASNA-NA Secretary General Mr. Charles Eluwa and National President, Mr.chibuzo Ngwakwe, the group stated that working in concert with the losers and all Abians would be in the overall interest of uplifting the state’s infrastructure and economic status.

STERLING Bank Plc has launched Doubble, a new online investment portal, to cater to individuals in active workforce.

Speaking on the initiative in Lagos, the bank’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dapo Martins said Doubble was designed to address the concerns of individuals who are looking to accumulate savings over a specific timeline to take care of future needs. He said: “With Doubble, a customer can choose to invest either a lump sum in one contribution or monthly contributions, which could be for the duration of 12 months to 60 months with all pay-outs remitted either monthly or once target is achieved to named beneficiaries.” Martins said the solution could function as an annuity to some customers, as it guarantees monthly payment to beneficiaries at regular intervals over a specified duration.
