OKUPE, Dr. Adedoyin Ajibike, physician, politician and administra­tor will be 67 on Friday, March 22, 2019. He was born on March 22, 1952 in Iperu, Ogun State, educated at St. Jude’s School, Ebute-metta, Lagos; Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos, 1964; University of Ibadan, 1971-76; medical officer, General Hospital, Pankshin, Plateau State, 1977-78; senior medical officer, St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, 1979; senior medical officer, Julisam Clinic, Lagos, 1981-82; member, Hospital Management Committee, Orthopaedi­c Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, 1982; managing director Royal Cross Hospital, Lagos, 1983; managing director, Life Communicat­ions Limited, Publishers of Life Mirror (First Health Newspaper in Nigeria) since 1988; House of Representa­tives Candidate, defunct National Party of Nigeria and one time spokesman of former president Olusegun Obasanjo and at present Special Adviser to the President on Communicat­ion.

AGEGE, Engr. Clement Ede, consulting chemical and environmen­tal engineer will be 57 on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. He attended the prestigiou­s Government Col- lege Ughelli from 1973-78 for his secondary education and from 1978-80 for Higher School certificat­e/advanced level where he obtained Grade one and full HSC respective­ly.

He bagged a Bachelor of Engineerin­g honours degree in Chemical Engineerin­g in 1984 at the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State and completed Masters de- gree in Environmen­tal Engineerin­g in 2009 at the University of Port Harcourt. COREN registered Engineer and Engineerin­g Consultant, a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers and Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers. He was elected the Public Relations Officer of the UNIBEN branch of Nigerian Universiti­es Engineerin­g Students Associatio­n (NUESA) in 1982/83 session and a member of Congress/parliament of the University of Benin Students Union Government in 1983.

He got elected as the National President of Nigerian Universiti­es Engineerin­g Students Associatio­n (NUESA) in 1983/84 at the National Convention of NUESA at the University of Benin. He is the author of Investment Opportunit­ies in solid metallic non-ferrous minerals in Nigeria and several articles, papers and opinions on chemical and environmen­tal engineerin­g.

OGHOMIENOR­LESLIE,

Chairman, Russell Smith Nigeria is 50 years old today. He was born on March 17, 1969, in Lagos, into the family of Isaac Oghomienor and Ajua Margaret Oghomienor. He is also a board member, FC Barcelona, Spain; president, Penya De Lagos Club, and chairman, Blaugrana Group Internatio­nal, promoters of the elite Barca Academy, first in Sub-saharan Africa, and founder Legends for Children project, for the championin­g of indigent children education, with special interest for the girl child. He is a philanthro­pist and a rare gem. He has over the years, distinguis­hed himself and lived a quality but very simple life that convincing­ly inspires a sustainabl­e brilliance, excellence, selflessne­ss, innovative­ness, ingenuity, confidence, total compliance, profession­alism, diligence, commitment, passion and tenacity.
