Casio, School Kits introduce learning tab

TO reduce students’ failure in Maths and Science subjects, Casio, School Kits has introduced the Casio Tab coupled with training for teachers from selected schools.

Business Developmen­t Manager, Middle East, Casio, Elie Karen, said the solution would be used to train 1,300 teachers within the next three years.

Speaking at a training workshop in Lagos, Karen added that the initiative is part of the organisati­on’s effort at developing Maths and Science education through capacity developmen­t.

“This training had taken place in six countries and has helped educationa­l entities in each countries. Recently, we went to Kenya, where we trained about 6,000 maths teachers nationwide,” he added.

He added that the program will include both public and private in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Karen assured that the solution, Casio tab, could be used to solve mathematic­al and practical equations online. “We have an online platform that gathers all global maths teachers where we have developed this programme. Teachers can register on the platform and access educationa­l materials, experience and solutions that have been deployed in other states”. In her speech, Managing Director, School Kits Limited, Temilola Adepetun, lauded the initiative and said it will deepen transforma­tion of the educationa­l sector in Nigeria.

She added that School Kits was nominated as the Casio Authorised Distributo­r in Nigeria and is partnering with Casio to bring this educationa­l capacity developmen­t program to Nigeria.
