Borno inaugurates water project for IDPS, others

GOVERNOR Babagana Umara of Borno State has inaugurated the Allamduri water project for 80,000 households and camps of internally displaced persons

(IDPS) in Maiduguri.

The execution of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) project was in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources to supply nine million litres of water daily to 150,000 residents. During the commissioning in the state capital, the governor said his administration would continue to invest in the water sector to prevent water-borne diseases.
