NABDA invents household biogas digesters

THE National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) has invented Anaerobic Digestion Technology (ADT) digesters, capable of converting organic wastes to biogas.

Its Environmental Biotechnology and Bio-conservation Department (EBD) spearheaded the invention. Speaking at the unveiling of the prototype bio-digesters and bio-methane process optimisation test systems yesterday in Abuja, Head of the Department, Dr. Gloria Obioh, said the three modular digesters (BEGS L250, BEGS L500 and BEGS L1000) were designed and fabricated by scientists in the department.
