Serial Killer Not Our Kinsman Says-tam David West

FORMER Minister of Petroleum, Professor Tam David West has described serial killer, Gracious David West, as an impostor.

David West told The Guardian that while the arrested suspected serial killer, a member of syndicate strangulating women in hotels in Rivers, hails from Buguma, he is not a descendant of the David West family.

Explaining, he said: “In West’s compound, we have David West, John West, and Tom West. David West is a closely-knit family. We know almost everybody. His father’s name is David Garrick West with a building in Tom West compound not David West.

“When his father died, he was listed as Gracious David Garrick. From all investigation, he is not a David West. His mother is not from Kalabari. I am satisfied that in the West compound there is nobody like that. He is just using that name,” he said.
