Adenike Victor-tade Speaks, Advocates For Better Nigeria

CHIEF Executive Officer of VNIKS Group Of Companies, Rev. (Mrs.) Adenike Morenike Victor-tade was one of the patriotic Nigerians who celebrated Nigeria’s 59th independence and chronicled better ways for the country during the celebration. The former governorship aspirant, while briefing the newsmen on Tuesday, said all was not well with Nigeria. The industrialist equates Nigeria to when Israelites were wandering around in the wilderness.

She noted: “It is disheartening for me to congratulate Nigeria on this occasion of Independence, since Nigeria looks like the Israelites in the wilderness facing diverse challenges; not ready to acknowledge God. Instead of positive growth, our country has experienced the other sides, “economic crisis”- For some, it is lack of funds to pay school fees, inability to bear high cost of food, unemployment, high level of insecurity, In fact, Crime rate now at its peak, lack of adequate-infrastructure, education and our healthcare are all in a shambles. This is our 59th years of individuality, the question raging from my mind is: are we delighted with the state of our nation, would it not better we go back to Egypt?

“I cannot but reflect on the state of our nation, and ask if indeed we are liberated. Our leaders should diligently inject lasting solution to insecurity and unemployment instead of giving us decorated hostile environment.”

Adenike lauded Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for his great move in bringing development to the State. She urged other leaders in all tiers of government to strive for good governance and make lives and the country a better place for all to dwell.
