Abia Police Rescues Kidnapped NTA News Manager

ABIA State Police Commissioner, Janet Agbede, yesterday, confirmed that the NTA Channel 6 Assistant News Manager, Mrs. Chinyere Okoye, who was abducted on May 27 has been rescued unhurt by the Abia State Special Anti- Robbery Squad ( SARS).

Okoye was reportedly abducted, while driving into her compound near Umukabia Junction in Obingwa

Local Council after work. Her abduction followed the one of Chinenye Iwuoha of Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM, Amakanma, Umuahia South Local Council, who was also released unhurt three days after.

It was gathered that Okoye was rescued in Obete, Mgboko Community, Obingwa Local Council, following report to the Police that her kidnappers moved her to their hideout there.
