- By Kehinde Olatunji

Aformer beauty queen and wife of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of the Trinity House, Ibidunni Ighodalo, died yesterday. She died of cardiac arrest in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Asue Ighodalo, who announced the demise in a statement on behalf of the family, said the Ighodalo and Olaleye- Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of their beloved wife and daughter, Mrs Ibidunni Ituah- Ighodalo, who passed away in the early hours of Sunday.

He added that information about the burial proceedings would be provided in due course, noting that it is a difficult time for the families.

Despite losing his wife, Pastor Ighodalo, hours later, went ahead to conduct a funeral service for a 25- year- old man, Ayodeji Johnson, in Lagos yesterday.

Speaking about life and how fickle it is, he said, “Life is nothing. If anyone had told me that this is how today would be, I would have said it is not possible. At 2: 00a. m. this morning, I received a call that shattered my life, but life must go on.”

Ibidunni, the former face of Lux Soap, a humble and caring woman, died in her hotel room at Port Harcourt, where she was handling some COVID- 19 isolation centre projects. Her colleague, the manager of Eluzabeth R ( her company), Lawal Nurudeen, who travelled with her for the project, confirmed that: “All I know is she went to bed last night but she did not wake up.”

Checks on Ibidunni ItuahIghodalo’s Instagram account also revealed the account might have been deleted after her death. Her last post was an emotional one where she talked about how difficult it was for her while always on the road.

She is survived by her husband and twins. She recently celebrated her 13th wedding anniversary with her husband last February.
