Rep warns contractor against shoddy job on Ureje Bridge Governor’s Office.

EKITI State Government has begun move to actualise the state’s agro- allied cargo airport aimed at boosting the state’s agricultural, tourism and educational endowment.

It has, therefore, approved the engagement of a consultant for the design and supervision of the project.

A statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Value Orientation, Mr. Muyiwa Olumilua, yesterday in AdoEkiti, said the appointment of the consulting engineering firm was confirmed at the virtual meeting held by the Ekiti State Executive Council on June 11, 2020.

In another development, the state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has presented the instrument of appointment and staff of office to the new Onimesi of Imesi- Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Council, Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde.

MEANWHILE, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency ( FERMA), Mr. Femi Bamisile, has appealed to the contractor handling the rehabilitation of the collapsed Ureje Bridge in Ado- Ekiti to deliver quality job.

The former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, told the contracting firm, to as a matter of urgency, provide alternative road to mitigate the hardship being experienced by residents and prevent a section of the residents of the state capital from being outrightly cut off from the capital city.
