Osinbajo visits Imo, commission­s road project

Condemns attack on correction­al centre, police headquarte­rs

VICE President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, inaugurate­d the ShopriteDi­g Tiger Road, constructe­d by Governor Hope Uzodimma administra­tion, hailing the governor for the milestone recorded on road infrastruc­ture within his over one year in office.

Osinbajo also urged the Imo people to give the governor the needed support to move the state forward.

At the occasion witnessed by scores of elected and appointed officials, the Vice President urged the governor not to be deterred in delivering more democracy dividends to the people of the state, urging the road users to appreciate the infrastruc­ture.

MEANWHILE, the Vice President has condemned the invasion and subsequent bombing of the Nigerian Correction­al Service and police facilities in Owerri.

He expressed dismay over the incident after inspecting the destroyed facilities, noting that the perpetrato­rs must not go scot- free.

Osinbajo, who regretted that some persons were destroying facilities put in place by the government despite all the efforts to enhance the welfare of the citizenry, ordered that the perpetrato­rs should be dealt with.
