In Starting Afresh, Oriyomi Inspires Business Owners

- By Adaku Onyenucheya

YOUNG entrepreneurs, employees and business owners burning aflame for success, have been advised not to give up on their dreams but forge ahead of any circumstance they may face in the business world.

These were the words of Dr. Patrick Oriyomi, a real estate investor, in his book titled, Starting Afresh, which was launched recently.

The Nigerian businessman and author used his personal story to give career advice to young entrepreneurs, employees and business owners burning aflame for success on the things to do as taught from his mistakes and experiences.

He said there are lots of life lessons to be learnt in the book as well as what to practice daily, just as the book is packed with several spiritual nuggets of business advise and wisdom to aspire greatness.

Oriyomi said that the book is also a self- guide to help renew the mind and reorient the reader, as well as educate them on its importance; how to take bold steps, make decisions and pick themselves up at any point in time to chase their dreams and fire up their ambitions all the way.

According to him, the biblical references in the book bolster courage, faith, resilience and passion in any aspiring entrepreneur.

“’ Starting Afresh’ is a God’s principle for aspiring entrepreneurs. It does not only focus on entrepreneurship, it focus on all areas of life. In whatever situation you face in life, you can start afresh when things go wrong, do not give up, but pick up the remaining piece and forge ahead.

“Life may not come as well planned, but irrespective of the challenges we can actually start afresh,” he said. He advised start- ups to break up from intimidation in todays market space, as they would be faced with industry giants, competitors, ideas and market rivals, those who operate in the same industry, make similar products, target same consumers and organisations that must have dominated their proposed market space.
