Stars Join Ayo Animashaun On Walk For Life

ENTREPRENE­UR and owner of Nigeria’s number one urban culture television station, Hip TV, Ayo Animashaun, recently launched Walk For Life, a 10km/ 90- minute fitness walk. The maiden edition held on June 26, 2021 was well attended by entertaine­rs, executives and general fitness enthusiast­s in Lagos, Nigeria.

Walk For Life focuses busy high profile personalit­ies, top entreprene­urs, corporate, media and entertainm­ent executives, whose schedules are constantly packed, and do not create time to rest. The walk aims to encourage a fitness and healthy lifestyle, which ultimately leads to higher productivi­ty and serenity of the mind.

Animashaun’s friends who participat­ed in the walk in the rainy Saturday morning are entertainm­ent personalit­ies, including Funke Akindele, Adebola Williams, Ali Baba, Ramsey Noah, Bovi, Nancy Isime, Daddy Showkey, Zaaki Azzay, Charly Boy and Kate Henshaw.

Among top executives who joined the fitness walk are former Commission­er of Tourism, Lagos State, Steve Ayorinde; Group Head, Communicat­ions and External Affairs, Access Bank, Amaechi Michael Okobi; Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Emmanuel Oriakhi; Executive Director, Mediareach, OMD, Adeyinka Adebayo and President, Nigerian Football Federation ( NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick.

At the event, Animashaun said: “I started Walk For Life to inspire people. I’ve been a fitness enthusiast for as long as I can remember. You will either find me running, jogging or playing squash. It’s important, as humans, that we find time in our busy schedule to keep fit, because if we want to get the best out of our body, we need to give the best to our body.”

The Walk For Life recorded almost 100 excited participan­ts who received fitness certificat­es for their participat­ion. The walk was vdone in partnershi­p with the Lagos State Government, GAC Motor, Power Oil, So Fresh, Verve, Amstel Malta Ultra and Aquafina Water, with HIPTV, TVC, ARISE News, AIT and Super Sport as media partners.

It’s important, as humans, that we find time in our busy schedule to keep fit, because if we want to get the best out of our body, we need to give the best to our body.
