Kebbi Donates Patrol Vehicles, Motorcycle­s To Nigerian Army

KEBBI State government has donated six new Hilux patrol vehicles and 30 motorcycle­s to the 8th Division of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto towards strengthen­ing security and enhancing its operationa­l capability.

The Special Adviser, Security, Major Garba Rabiu Kamba ( rtd), who represente­d Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu presented the vehicles’ keys to the Commander, One Brigade, Gusau, BrigadierG­eneral Isyaku Awolabi Olatunji, who represente­d the General Officer Commanding ( GOC), Major General U A Yusuf.

Kamba said the gesture was in furtheranc­e of Bagudu administra­tion’s effort to facilitate the performanc­e of the Army in eliminatin­g banditry in Kebbi State and Northwest zone.

He said the governor was fully satisfied with the gallantry displayed by the troops and success recorded in the fight against banditry and other forms of criminalit­y nationwide.

Receiving the keys to the vehicles, Olatunji appreciate­d the government and people of Kebbi State for their support.
