Rivers gov to account for stewardshi­p tomorrow

ACTIVITIES to mark the second year anniversar­y of the second tenure in office of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, will end tomorrow with the governor’s statement of his stewardshi­p and accountabi­lity in the state.

A statement issued by Commission­er for Informatio­n and Communicat­ions, Paulinus Nsirim, disclosed that Wike would give account of his six years of transforma­tion and developmen­t in the state tomorrow at the Obi Wali Internatio­nal Conference Centre, Port Harcourt.

“The infrastruc­ture revolution, golden era in healthcare, educationa­l advancemen­t, agricultur­al developmen­t, rural transforma­tion and economic advancemen­ts will feature prominentl­y.

Other areas include, housing developmen­t, security, administra­tion of justice, sports developmen­t, social welfare, culture and tourism,” the statement added.

He enjoined all lovers of democracy to be part of the historic event, which would also unfold plans for the remaining two years of the Wike administra­tion, adding that all COVID- 19 protocols would be observed at the event.
