Ayade sacks commissioner for social housing, Njah From Agosi Todo, Calabar

-

FOLLOWING his defection to the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and sacking of several commissioners and aides, Cross River State Governor, Benedict Ayade has, again, sacked his Commissioner for Social Housing, Chris Njah.

Njah’s sack was announced in a statement issued yesterday by Ayade’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita.

“Governor Ayade has approved the sack of Chris Itafu Njah as Commissioner for Social Housing with immediate effect. He thanked Njah for his services to the state and wishes him well in his future endeavors,” the statement reads.

He also directed Njah to return government property and vehicles in his care with immediate effect.

Although the state government gave no reason for the sack, it may not be unconnected with Ayade’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) to APC.

The Guardian recalled that PDP had accused the governor of sacking his commissioners and aides for refusing to join him in the APC.
