Upbeat Swing For HR People Awards

-

PREPARATIONS are in top gear for the sixth edition of the HR People Magazine Awards. Leading companies and stakeholders have already indicated their interest to participate at this year’s edition, which holds at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, on September 30, 2021. Submissions have also been extended to August 14, 2021.

A statement by its Executive Director, Dapo Saheed, said: “Leading organisations with projects and initiatives that have propelled businesses to stay alive should submit their nominations. Also, companies with less than 100 employees have been given the opportunity to participate in three new categories.

“The award would provide an opportunity to acknowledge and validate organisations that have done well, despite the pandemic. It will also give HR professionals an opportunity to network.”

Saheed said as a global practice, “judges are independent of the organisers, and do not assess submissions of companies and individuals they have associated with in the past or at present,” adding that past corporate winners included Chevron, Unilever, Cadbury, MTN, Nigerian

Stock Exchange, Nigerian Bottling Company, StanbiCIBTC, Lafarge, AIICO Insurance and others while past individual winners include CEO, Africa Regions, Standard Bank Group, Yinka Sanni; Director of HR, IHS Nigeria, Jubril Saba; Director of HR, Unilever Nigeria and West Africa, Ola Ehinmoro; Head, L and D Stanbicibtc Holdings, Godwin Akpong; Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Stock Exchange, Oscar Onyeama; Regional Head, People and Culture Standard Bank Group West Africa, Olufunke Amobi, among others.
