CHI renews commitment to grooming young talents By Bankole Orimisan

CON SOLID AT ED Hallmark Insurance ( CHI) Plc has renewed its commitment to grooming talents for the insurance industry through its yearly essay award.

Speaking on the subject, the Group Managing Director of the company, Eddie Efekoha, said competitio­n was part of the company’s contributi­on to the overall insurance industry’s awareness campaign as well as honing talents for the sector.

The competitio­n, he said, was introduced based on the insurer’s belief in developing talents and expanding the industry knowledge through research.

He commended the assessors for adhering to high standards that have ensured that the bests emerged winners over the years. The overall best and first prize winner of the 2020 edition was Olatunji Rebecca of Joseph Ayo Babalola University. She was followed by Obikwere Victor from Imo State University, while Oyefejo Olaseni from Lagos State Polytechni­c finished third.

The Director- General, Nigerian Insurers Associatio­n ( NIA), Yetunde Ilori, urged the winners to make their success the least of their life achievemen­ts and appreciate­d the firm for being a source of inspiratio­n to others.
