Police beef up security in Borno, Yobe

THE police in Borno and Yobe states will, today, restrict vehicular movement for six hours to ensure a hitch- free Eid- el- Kabir celebration in the states.

In Borno, the 6.00a. m. to noon vehicle restriction involves cars, buses, trucks, tricycles, bicycles, wheelbarrows, camels, donkeys and horses.

Spokesman of Command, Edet Okon, stated yesterday in Maiduguri: “The Commissioner of Police ( CP), Bello Makwashi, wishes to inform residents of Maiduguri metropolis and Jere Local Council that there will be restriction of vehicles up to 1200hrs on the Sallah day.”

The Yobe CP, Yahaya Abubakar, assured residents of sustained fight against criminalities during and after Sallah in the state.
