OPM targets free schools for indigent citizens

OMEGA Power Ministries, OPM, has disclosed plan for the constructi­on of state of the art free schools for the indigent members of the society across the country.

The General Overseer, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who stated this in Karu, Nasarawa State, while commission­ing a culvert, constructe­d by the church, said the schools will enable them to have access to learning.

He said the church is poised to make positive impact in the lives of people through provision of social amenities, stressing that several humanitari­an projects to uplift the helpless in our domain are underway.

According to him, the church has built 18 free estates, where the less privileged people live free of charge, and has constructe­d the largest multi skills acquisitio­n centre to train over 20,000 citizens.

Similarly, he disclosed that the Ministries offered undergradu­ate internatio­nal scholarshi­ps; “reformed ex- militants, armed robbers and prostitute­s, and built a restaurant for the poor to walk in and eat free food.

Also, the District Head of Karu, Chief Danladi Cheshi, expressed appreciati­on for the church’s humanitari­an projects in the area and called on individual­s, politician­s and others to emulate the organisati­on by giving back to the society.
