- From Seye Olumide, Ibadan

THE Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has appealed to Nigerians, especially the Yoruba people, to seek the face and intervention of God for the numerous economic, political and social challenges confronting the country.

In a statement, yesterday, the Aare Ona Kakanfo said it was high time Nigerians sought every means possible, both humanly and spiritual, to bail Nigeria and particularly Yoruba Nation out of the present predicaments. He said that one of the surest ways is to start appreciating our cultures, traditions and values as a race.”

He said the peace and tranquility currently being enjoyed in the Badagry area of Lagos and its environs was as a result of the spiritual support from the Olokun Deity, a very rich tradition of the people in that place.

According to him, Olokun festival has the potentials of boosting the economy of Lagos and also enhancing eco- tourism of the host community.
