God’s Kingdom Blessings

Proverbs 10: 22: “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and addeth no sorrow with it.”

-

EVERY human being, especially Christians, should understand that the earth is an extension of God’s kingdom. This means that the Almighty God is not only the creator the earth, but also the controller of the universe. And based on God’s kingdom principles, whatever is obtainable in heaven is also obtainable on earth.

Although, heaven and earth are two different entities and with different citizens and culture, the church with Jesus Christ as the head becomes the outpost. The church is on earth to teach people heavenly culture, so that, they could be focused and prepare to return to heaven.

Prior to the church era, God wanted direct cultivation and full assimilation of earthly citizens with heavenly culture, this was the reason He was always coming down to earth after creation to fellowship, teach and provide for man. The glory of God covered them to the extent that they lacked nothing.

Unfortunately, the enemy, the devil, struck unexpected and man fell from God’s glory and divine kingdom. Man lost the kingdom. The entry of Satan, the Devil, into man’s life gave way to the interregnum in which sinful activities gained ground in the lives of the people on earth. The period allowed for the practice of cultures contrary to the will, plan and purpose of God.

God’s plan for the restoration of the lost kingdom led to the coming of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through Him that the lost kingdom’s blessings will be restored to man.

And for any man to secure these blessings, he/ she must live according to the kingdom principles, just as the Bible says in Matthew 4: 23- 25: “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. 25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.”

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, God brought the blessing of divine healing as the mere encounter with Jesus resulted to setting people under the bondage of different sicknesses and diseases free. In heaven, the headquarters of the Kingdom, there are no death, sicknesses and afflictions of any kind. On earth these evil take flight immediately they encounter Jesus Christ, the Prince of Heaven kingdom. Whoever accepts our Lord Jesus Christ and lives his/ her life according to the kingdom principles will enjoy divine healing.

In most cases, a true son of the kingdom does not suffer sickness; he will not die, but at the appointed time, transits when God, the heavenly King, calls him to eternal life.

In the earthly kingdom, there are divine provisions for all our needs when we abide by the principles and the rule of the kingdom. That is why the Bible makes a case in Matthew 6: 9- 11, 33 saying: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples how to pray by telling them to ask God for their daily bread. Asking for daily bread by implication is total dependence on God for all our needs. If God could take care of even the birds of the air, the flowers in the field, how would He not take care of human beings He created in His Own image. God is ever ready to provide the daily needs of His obedient and faithful children. That is why in Matthew6: 33 says: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” God is our creator, provider and protector. He first of all gave us life at creation. He will also make provision for all our needs, if only we can give Him our all — trust and serve Him. However, he demands we seek and serve Him. These are the blessings accessible to all kingdom citizens on earth. There is a regular assurance that whosoever serves the Almighty God will never go unrewarded. The Bible is even emphatic of this, in Philippians 4: 19 saying: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

The resources in heaven are enormous hence God supplies His children all they need. God is the owner and controller of all resources in heaven and on earth. He provides for His faithful children all their needs. As long as you serve the Lord, you will lack nothing. The Bible upholds this argument in Luke 15: 31 saying,

” And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” As His children, all that Almighty God has belongs to us. This makes His children joint heir with our Lord Jesus Christ. We are to be in the presence of God and always serve Him with all we have.

The kingdom culture is that we have unalloyed faith in God, the creator of the earth and everything therein. Faith is the principal factor in the kingdom culture. It is by faith we believe God created us and He will provide all our needs. It is by faith we believe that if we serve Him, He will in turn bless us. He has given us the earth as our residence till we come back to Him, so, for the time we are on earth, we must faithfully take control of it for our maximum blessings.
