UCMAS Education Nigeria Limited, in conjunction with Cowrywise and Indomie, has rewarded school children that participated in its National TV show with cash and investment worth over N10m.

For the competition themed: ‘ Brain power challenge,’ 2,700 participants auditioned for opportunity to be among finalists and at the end, 27 pupils made it to the final where three winners eventually emerged.

Speaking at the press briefing and award ceremony in Lagos, Country Director, UCMAS Edu. Nigeria, Stephen Amoako Ofori, said the platform has trained over five million children across the globe and gained presence in about 86 countries.

Ofori explained that UCMAS is a brain development programme that helps children advance their brain capacity and use mental arithmetic to grow their knowledge.

“Most of the parents have experienced this programme abroad. So when they saw that it has berthed in Nigeria, they quickly jumped on board. For the past seven years that we have been operating in the country, we have seen an outstanding increase in the number of enrollment. Currently, we have over 5, 000 students we are working with and parents are still buying into the programme,” he said.

Ofori commended the partners, Cowrywise and Indomie, saying they have been very supportive of the dream to push the brand forward.

Commenting on the awards, the country manager said by giving it to the children, it would play significant role in building their confidence and guide their approach to studies.

Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Education, Adetola Salau, backed enrollment of children into the programme, hailing its numerous benefits as evidence of its crucial role in their academic growth.
