Monarch, youths, others endorse Akubuike for chairmansh­ip of Njikoka council

Sand youths of Umunri clan, in Enugwu- Ukwu community of Anambra State, have endorsed Henry Akubuike as the next chairman of Njikoka Local Council.

The traditiona­l ruler of Enugwu Ukwu, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Ralph Ekpe, also gave his endorsemen­t when Akubuike led a delegation to his palace, yesterday.

In his address, Akubuike stressed that it is the turn of Enugwu- Ukwu to produce the next chairman of the Njikoka Council, noting that he was the first President of the Enugwu- Ukwu Youth Council.

Political stakeholde­rs, youths and women leaders accompanie­d Akubuike, including Chief Jaspino Okonkwo, Nze Mgbilimgba Anaekwe, Dr. Ngozi Okeke, Agudo Enemuo, Chisom Nwammadu, among others.

He promised to set a precedent in public service if he is allowed to serve in that capacity. He, therefore, assured to unite the entire Njikoka people towards greater developmen­t and progress.
