APGA clears Uwa for Abia governorship primary

T HENational Working Committee ( NWC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA) has cleared Abia State governorship aspirant, Etigwe Uwa, to run in the primary of the party.

The decision was taken, on Wednesday, after a meeting of the committee to consider the outcome of the Presidential/ Governorship Screening Appeal Panel pursuant to Article 17( 2) of APGA Electoral Guidelines for the 2022 Primary Election.

The Administrative Secretary of the party, Mrs. Nwabueze Ugomma, in a statement obtained by The Guardian, yesterday, said, the final list comprising all governorship aspirants will be published shortly before the governorship primary election.

Recall that Uwa had protested his disqualification from the governorship primary by the state screening committee on the grounds that he was not a member of APGA.
