- By Shakirah Adunola

THE Chief Missioner, Nasrul- Lahi- l- Fatih Society ( NASFAT) has urged Muslims to fast six days in the month of Shawwal, as this frees an individual from the shackles of Shaytan.

“My brothers and sisters, having completed Ramadan 1443, another bonanza is waiting for us. Our noble Prophet says, “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of fasting in the month of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for the entire year,” he said.

He added that it was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah with the wording: “Fasting for the month of Ramadan brings the reward of 10 like it and fasting for six days brings the reward of two months, and that is the fasting of the whole year.”

He urged Muslims to embark on the fasting immediately as delay may lead to forgetfulness.

“My brothers and sisters, delay is dangerous because time really flies.

Postponing your six days of Shawwal may eventually make you miss the golden opportunity of six equaling 355 ( including Ramadan).
