Organisers promise exciting D. K Olukoya Ibile competitio­n

ORGANISERS of the maiden Dr. D. K Olukoya Ibile Football Cup have promised to thrill fans of grassroots soccer with exciting action when the competitio­n holds from May 16 to 22 at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Lagos.

Registrati­on of the 16 nonleague clubs featuring in the competitio­n ended yester

day at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos and according to the chairperso­n of the organising committee, Gbajumo Afolashade Muyinatu, highlyrate­d referees will officiate all games in a secure and familyfrie­ndly atmosphere.

While applauding Dr. Olukoya for boosting youth football developmen­t in the country, Muyinatu said the eventual champion would earn N200, 000, while first and second runners up will get N150,000 and N50,000 respective­ly.
