Bala pushes for North East, South East presidency
• Saraki meets Imo PDP stalwarts, promises restructuring, ‘ real’ democracy
PEOPLES Democratic Party ( PDP) presidential aspirant and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has canvassed power shift either to the North East or the South East geopolitical zones of the country.
Speaking during an interactive session with delegates in Awka, Anambra State, he argued that the call was based on the realisation that both
zones ha ve not produced oc cupant of the exalted seat since the return to democratic rule in the countr y.
Mohammed described the Igbo nation as critical in the Nigerian project, adding that their entrepreneurial ingenuity needs to be emulated by other parts of the country as a model f or addressing poverty and unemployment in the country.
Bala, who expressed satisfaction over the warm reception accorded him, assured that he has the wherewithal to tackle the myriads of problems besetting the country.
The governor, whose campaign train met with delegates in neighbouring Ebonyi and Enugu states, reiterated his determination to ensure the defeat of the All Progressive Congress ( APC).
He also promised to support whosoever emerged as the flag bearer of the party at the primary on May 28.

EANWHILE, former senate president and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Bukola Saraki, has promised to restructure Nigeria and administer the affairs of the country in real democratic ideals, while offering opportunities for greatness.
Saraki, who made the promise at the weekend during interaction with the leaders of the party in Owerri, noted that the country needed to be fixed by a sound, courageous and experienced person like him.
He promised that Nigerians would not regret electing him as their president, pledging to ensure equal opportunities to all, irrespective of ethnic, political and religious leanings.
