THE 2022 Africa Soft Power Summit is scheduled to hold in Kigali, Rwanda, Kigali, Rwanda, from May 26 to 27.

The event will combine sessions, networking activities, and local events, as it returns to a real- world setting after the COVID- 19 pandemic restriction.

Originally founded as a virtual event during the COVID- 19 pandemic in 2020, the summit seeks to establish the continent’s creative and knowledge industries on the world stage.

Speaking about the event, the Founder and Creative Director of the summit, Nkiru Balonwu, stated that what Africa’s creative and cultural industries bring to the global economy is unique. According to Balonwu, as the world moves out of the pandemic era and to a real- world setting, this year’s event will showcase the growing power of the digital, creative and knowledge economies.

"In addition to showcasing Africa to the world, we also want to showcase its potential to the public and private sectors and provide a blueprint for future growth,” Balonwu added.

Speakers at the upcoming ASP Summit include, President, Afreximbank, Benedict Oramah; Founder, Gina Din Group, Gina DinKariuki and CEO, PanAfrican Payment and Settlement System ( PAPSS), Mike Ogbalu.
