- From Lawrence Njoku, Enugu

ABOUT 55 youths from Enugu State, yesterday, graduated from an eightweek intensive digital marketing technology programme, organised by the Enugu State Tech- Hub.

The participants were trained on eight learning tracts, which include Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing/ Advertising, Data Analytics, Video Editing, Graphics Design, 3D Animation, On- line Collaboration and Google Business Suite.

Speaking at the graduating ceremony/ exhibition of the brands created, the General Manager of Enugu Tech Hub, Mr. Chidubem Anowor, explained that the programme was to upscale the graduands in the digital world, which, he said, was now the in- thing in the world.

Anowor said: “Basically, today’s programme is to showcase the participants that are graduating from what we titled, ‘ Digi Marketise Programme.’

“It is a programme that is meant to upscale young and old people between the ages of 13 and 49, or even more, in three unique spaces, which are the new media space, image media and the multimedia space.

“When they are broken down, you discover that they are about eight fundamental learning tracts that can be extrapolated from the three spaces that if you aggregate them, you create a persona called new image and multimedia professional.”

Anowor expressed deep joy that within eight weeks, people, who knew nothing from the scratch, were able to create brands, saying that was why they were invited to do an exhibition of what they learnt within the period.

Speaking at the occasion, a governorship aspirant for 2023 Enugu governorship race, Beloved- Dan Anike, said that the world was going technologically global and that digital marketing was the way to go.

Anike said that the youths should be trained to be global competitive, and who would be boundless in their creative thinking.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, represented by his Senior Special Assistant ( SSA) on Business and Technology, Mark Onuoha, said that the state government is committed to up- scaling the youth to be active in the global competitiveness, pointing out that government would continue to support and sustain the Enugu Tech Hub, because Digital Marketing is the way to go now.
