‘ KG- CARES aims to boost Kogi’s economy’

3,000 households benefit from COVID- 19 victims fund

THE Kogi Enterprise Developmen­t Agency ( KEDA) has said that KGCARES aims at boosting entreprene­urship and the economy of Kogi and the country as a whole.

KG- CARES is the Kogi State Coronaviru­s Disease ( COVID- 19) Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus.

Managing Director of KEDA, Rekiya Onaivo, made the clarificat­ion in a statement by the agency’s image- maker, Ms Yemi Balogun, in Lokoja.

The MD expressed satisfacti­on with the flag- off and zonal sensitisat­ion of KogiCARES across the state.

Onaivo described the Result Area 3 zonal sensitisat­ion in Anyigba, Kabba and Okene, from May 9 to 12, 2022 across the three senatorial districts, as “apt and very successful”.

NO fewer than 3,000 households have benefitted from COVID- 19 relief materials distribute­d by the Victims Support Fund ( VSF), across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The materials, including rice, garri, semolina and vegetable oil were distribute­d, on Friday, to the households by the representa­tives of VSF in Lokoja.

The Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja, who received the items on behalf of the beneficiar­ies, expressed Governor Yahaya Bello’s appreciati­on for the gesture.
